Guest Only

Guest Only

This body of work is rooted in the concept of Guest Only, reflecting on the impermanence of human existence and the indelible imprint we leave on the world. Created over a deeply emotional five-month period, these layered compositions emerge from a process of listening—to emotions, to intuition, and to the messages I feel called to give back to the world.

The layers, built over time, reflect the evolving nature of feeling—raw, vulnerable, and profoundly honest. Each mark, tear, and addition carries the weight of the moment in which it was created, allowing the work to embody the depth and complexity of living through a period of chaos and renewal. These layers evoke the marks of our temporary stay—abandoned buildings, neglected spaces, and forgotten histories—offering viewers a grounding amidst the abstract.

At its heart, this work gives space for connection. It invites the viewer to pause, to decode the layers, and to interpret their own emotions and imprints on the world. By offering this space for reflection, the work becomes a mirror—not only of resilience and renewal but of our shared humanity.

This process is not rushed. Over months of creation, I allow the feelings to mature, to listen deeply to their message, and to ensure that what is given back is honest and intentional. Through this practice, the work gives hope, perspective, and a deeper understanding of our place as guests on this planet. It calls on viewers to see beyond the surface, to carry forward a sense of care and responsibility for the histories, emotions, and landscapes that shape us.
